Sheriff's Council
Mission Statement:
"Placer County Sheriff's Council Committed To Law Enforcement, Dedicated To Making A Difference To Our Community"
Our Mission:
The Placer County Sheriff's Council was formed in 2004 by local citizens seeking ways to help the Sheriff's Department maintain their
current efficiency, improve their effectiveness in the short term and seek innovative solutions to the increasingly complex problems faced by
the men and women of law enforcement.
The Council aims to help fill the gap between the public's need for increasing law enforcement services and tightening county budgets.
While our efforts focus on providing specialized equipment and supplies for public safety, we are also involved in education and training.
"It's time to give something back..."
We count on them to keep us safe. They are on-call at all hours to protect us. The men and women of the Placer County Sheriff's Department have
committed themselves to making our families safe and our homes secure.
By helping to provide much needed equipment and training, not available through the county budget, the Sheriff's Council is trying to make a
difference.
The business and community leaders of the council have volunteered to work closely with law enforcement to help meet those needs. In addition to
helping supply equipment, the council has been instrumental in supporting educational and training objectives and has helped fund Placer County's
DARE Program in local schools.
Placer County Sheriff's Council
"The establishment of the Placer County Sheriff's Council by generous citizens means
that this department can continue to quickly respond to emergencies and safeguard all of
our communities." Sheriff Ed Bonner
Sheriff Ed Bonner and Undersheriff Devon Bell have set some ambitious goals for the Council in the coming years.
The Sheriff's Council is committed to raising funds to support the mission of the Sheriff's Department, helping to obtain equipment
and necessities that budget strapped public agencies cannot afford - equipment they need to effectively protect us and themselves.
